Civil law includes legislation relating to the protection of personality, in particular in cases of attacks on honour, violence or harassment, as well as vis-à-vis the press and in connection with the protection of privacy. It also covers all matters relating to names, kinship and adoption, marriage, separation and divorce, personal relations between parents and children, and protective measures such as guardianship or foster care.
